Sugar Hollow Solar is hiring a Solar Service Technician! The ideal candidate is someone who has a broad skill set and has worked in the construction field or other related fields. This position supports company operations with installation and repair of photovoltaic and battery systems in line with the Sugar Hollow philosophy and guiding principles.

Summary:

Full-time, hourly, up to 40 hours per week

$19.00 - $22.00/hr / based on experience

Responsibilities:

● Assist with repair of existing photovoltaic systems and other small jobs
● Provide great service to our clients and your other co-workers by being kind, courteous, professional, and respectful
● Maintain close communication with your supervisor throughout the workday and week as schedules are subject to change
● Learn the standardized protocol in order to keep the work van clean and organized
● Unpack materials and clean-up / re-pack at the end of the day
● Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
● Follow all established safety protocols including use of personal fall arrest systems
● Identify safety risks and communicate them to your team
● Help load components for the various projects
● Occasionally assist PV field crews with installations or repairs
● Maintain good working conditions of all Sugar Hollow Solar tools and equipment and treat them with care
● Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety

Qualifications:

● At least 6 months experience with installation or repair of solar photovoltaic, maintenance work, or related experience
●Strong attention to detail
● Excellent written and verbal communication
● Works well independently or in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

● At least 1 year of experience installing or repairing solar photovoltaic systems
● OSHA 10-hour certification
● A sense of humor

Requirements:

● Able to lift up to 65 lbs
● Stand and work on rooftops
● Sitting/standing/walking for extended periods
● Withstand working in extreme heat/cold for extended periods
● Kneel, crouch, crawl and work in tight spaces for extended periods
● Must own all required tools and personal protective equipment
● Must have a valid driver's license
● Must have and maintain reliable transportation
● Must have and maintain a reliable cell phone
● Job may require occasional work outside of regular business hours (Mon-Fri., 8am-4:30pm)
